Licensed Tour Guide in Athens, Greece
Licensed by the Greek Ministry of Tourism with the legal right to conduct guided tours inside archaeological sites and museums
There's an ancient Greek saying:
άκου να δεις — "listen, so you can see."
Athens is a city where every stone holds meaning. The Acropolis, the Agora, the temples — they're not just beautiful ruins. They are the foundation of Western civilization: democracy, philosophy, theater, the Olympic ideal. But to truly see them, you need someone who can unlock their story.
That's what my tours offer — not dry lectures or Wikipedia facts, but engaging, story-driven exploration. Light, lively, rich with historical context and the occasional touch of irony. The kind of tour where two hours feel like thirty minutes. I offer private tours in English across Athens and Greece — and also in Russian for those who prefer it.
In Greece, only a state-licensed guide can lead you inside archaeological sites like the Acropolis, Delphi, or Ancient Olympia. Many tour operators simply drop you off at the entrance.
I hold an official nationwide guide license (No. 06ΣΞ00186Ε0), which means my tours take place where it matters — inside the monuments, among the columns and temples, not from across the street.
I studied Political Science at Panteion University in Athens and then completed a three-year state-certified tour guide program. I've been conducting tours for the last 20 years.
Athens Tour Pricing 2026
Why is there no fixed price list? I don't sell bus tickets where everyone pays the same. Every tour is priced individually — like a custom quote — and depends on just two things:
- Number of people: just the two of you, a family with kids, or a group of friends.
- Vehicle class: a comfortable sedan or a spacious minivan for up to 6–8 passengers.
My prices are quite reasonable. Finding out is easy — just click a button below
and you'll go straight to a chat with me. No need to add me to contacts.
In your message, please include:
- 1 dates you're interested in (at least the month);
- 2 number of people (children count too).
I'll promptly send you current information and offers tailored to you.

Simply send me a message via WhatsApp, Telegram, or email with your preferred dates and group size. No prepayment is needed — you pay after the tour. I typically respond within a few hours.
I conduct tours primarily in English. As a historian with 20+ years of experience guiding international visitors, I offer engaging, story-driven tours for English-speaking travelers from the US, UK, Australia, and beyond. Tours in Russian are also available for those who prefer it — making me one of the few licensed guides in Athens fluent in both languages.
It depends on the tour: the Acropolis walking tour takes 1.5–2 hours, the Athens city tour is 4–4.5 hours, and day trips to Delphi, Meteora, or Olympia run 8–10 hours. Multi-day tours of 2–4 days are also available.
Yes, I pick you up directly from your hotel, apartment, or cruise port in the Athens area. For walking tours, we can also meet at a convenient landmark near the Acropolis.
Tours run in all weather — Athens is beautiful rain or shine. However, if conditions are truly severe, we can reschedule at no extra cost. Flexibility is one of the advantages of a private tour.
Absolutely. I adapt the pace, content, and storytelling style for families with children. Kids love the myths and legends — and the Acropolis becomes a real adventure for them.
